The European Green Deal

More specifically, the European Green Deal is a plan to make the EU economy more sustainable. This can be done by turning the climatic and environmental challenges into opportunities and achieving this transition based on the principles of equity and inclusiveness.
The EU’s goal to become climate-neutral by 2050 can be achieved through appropriate actions involving all sectors of the economy:
Investing in environmentally friendly technologies
Supporting the industry to encourage innovation
Introducing cleaner, cheaper and healthier forms of private and public transport
Ensuring greater energy efficiency of buildings
Working with international partners to improve global environmental standards
The EU will also provide financial support and technical assistance to help those that are most affected by the transition towards the green economy. It will help mobilise at least €100 billion over the period 2021-2027 in the most affected regions.
