A delegation of Czech, Ukrainian, Moldovan and Georgian students visited the Information Centre on NATO and EU under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within the framework of the project “Strengthening of cooperation and mutual understanding between Czechia and Eastern Partnership: youth engagement in civic and political affairs”.
The Deputy Director of the Information Centre, Irina Shamiladze met the guests to discuss the Centre’s goals, priorities of its activities, and ongoing and planned projects. Discussions focused on the challenges involved in raising the population’s awareness about Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the ways to fight against anti-Western propaganda.
The meeting took place in the mode of active discussion.
Georgia’s Reforms Association (GRASS) implements this project with the funding of the European Union and in cooperation with the Czech organization “European Values Centre for Security Policy”. Its purpose is to raise young people’s awareness about the relations between the European Union and the countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova) of the Eastern Partnership. Within the framework of the project, seminars and workshops with representatives of various embassies, governmental and non-governmental organizations are planned for the participants.
