Summing up Europe Days and panel discussion

Panel discussion summing up “Europe Days 2020” was held at the Information Centre on NATO and EU.
Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Karl Hartzel, the EU Ambassador to Georgia, and Davit Songhulashvili, the Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament, summed up the 2020 Europe Days and evaluated the progress in the implementation of Association Agreement over the past 6 years.
The speakers talked extensively about Georgia’s European integration process, the priorities of EU-Georgia cooperation, the results achieved in this regard and prospects outlined for the future. They drew special attention to the aid allocated by the European Union to Georgia and the progress made on the 6th anniversary of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.
The discussion was moderated by Tamara Tsuleiskiri, Director of the Information Centre on NATO and EU under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who spoke about the Europe Days conducted in digital format in Georgia and the achievements in this regard.
The annual series of events “Europe Days” is one of the important projects of the Information Center on NATO and EU under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was held for the eighth time this year, from 9 May to 3 July, in a digital format, in partnership with the Parliament of Georgia and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
As part of this year’s Europe Days, about 70 events were held in digital format attracting about 2,500 people from Tbilisi and various regions. Around 75,000 people were informed about EU-Georgia cooperation, European integration and the tangible benefits of this process.
