The final event of the “European Holidays” project held in Tsinadali

The goal of the project is to ensure the active involvement of youths internally displaced from Abkhazia in Georgia’s western integration process and to promote the realization of their potential in public, economic, cultural and political life.
At the final event of the project, Ruslan Abashidze, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Tamara Tsuleiskiri, the Director of the Information Center on NATO and EU delivered welcome speeches before the young people in the Kakheti region.
The Speakers focused on the issues relating to Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the importance of the country’s western course, the need to raise awareness of the benefits of the European integration process and the importance of youth involvement in this process.
The project is jointly implemented by the Information Centre on NATO and EU under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the Agency for Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of the Abkhazia and includes both educational and cultural-cognitive components. Within the scope of the project, up to 300 young people displaced from Abkhazia and currently living in different regions of Georgia visited Martvil, Sataplia, Vardzia, Batumi and Tsinandali and received information about Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic course. The final event of the project will be held in Tbilisi in September.
