Project name: NATO-Georgia Public Diplomacy Forum

Project implementation period: 2016-2017

Target group: representatives of non-governmental organizations, government agencies and mass media

Project goal: start a dialogue with various communities about the need to combat anti-Western propaganda

Description of the project: One of the main challenges facing the North Atlantic Alliance is the increasingly intensified anti-Western campaign and propaganda. Based on this, it is necessary to start a dialogue with different segments of society about the need to tackle this problem.

The Public Diplomacy Forum is conducted annually by the Alliance in Brussels to respond to these challenges and threats. From 2016 it will be held simultaneously in Georgia. The two-day conference will allow representatives of non-governmental organizations, government agencies and mass media to discuss topical issues with their colleagues in NATO member states. Through the workshops, international and Georgian experts discuss the ways to overcome the challenges facing the region and outline the areas of future cooperation. NATO Public Diplomacy Forum is the first free platform in Georgia  on strategic communication issues
