Project name: Teacher – guide to Europe

Target group: public and private school teachers
Project goal: Raise teachers’ awareness about European values, increase their interest in the European integration process, boost their activities within their competence.
Project description
The project is carried out in two stages:
Seminar – where teachers will receive the updated information about the history of the European Union, European values, the history of EU-Georgia relations and the European integration of Georgia.
Competition – for teachers both participating in the seminar and intending to join the project. Teachers carry out projects to incorporate EU topics and European values into non-formal education in public schools. The author of the top 10 projects will go on a study visit to a member state of the European Union.
About 500 public and private school teachers of geography, history and civic education were trained through the seminar. The project was implemented for the fifth time in 2018.
